Movie Summary:
The movie reconstucts the true story that documents how Mandela became one of the most inspirational political figure in the modern history. It was created on basis of discrepant recollections of James Gregory (Joseph Fiennes), the white South African guard who had been guarding Nelson Mandela (Dennis Haysbert) during more than 20 years of the imprisonment of the latter under apartheid. Through the profound friendship between the two men and under Mandela’s influence, Gregory’s views evolve from the racist government bigotry to sincere devotion to the struggle for a free, democratic South Africa.
